Tethion (The Greater)
King of Unified Cedoria, Tethion XVI has earned the title The Great after having proven himself a popular and wise ruler in the period during the War of Upheaval and the period after.
Born the illegitimate child of King Alistair VI as Llewellyn to a maid in the capital, Llewellyn was ushered out of the capital by the future wife of King Marduis, Duchess of Ebria, Rosalind to secure her path to the throne when she dismissed the maid and paid for her silence, keeping her alive as possible leverage against her husband should he turn on her. Unaware of his royal heritage, he was raised in a shack in the countryside, enjoying a simple life filled with hard work in the local region. His existence was discovered by Countess Sarah Vand, who discovered him only through happenstance as she rode through the country side, and spotted him outside his shack. Mistaking him for the spitting image of King Alistair, she rode up and chatted with him, neither aware of who the other was leading to a very casual conversation. Laughing over her confusion of him, she left after saying her goodbyes and returned to her home. Her daughter, Lady Lidia, happened to be a member of the Council of Whispers and had returned home to recover from frustration over the fruitless search for an heir. The Countess shared her light hearted story with her daughter, who sent a messenger to her fellow conspirators in Stryng to see if they had any record of such a possible heir. Her fellows managed to find the hidden journal of Rosalind and her revelation of the heritage of Llewellyn.
From there, Lady Lidia rushed over to Llewellyn's shack and pried the truth out of his mother, all while he sat outside watching the sunset, a tale that inspired several famous paintings. The next day, Lord Wynd, High Champion Alderim, and Lady Araceli all arrived in the countryside to confirm Lidia's discovery and found their missing heir.
